What i wore: Just keep going and going

crop top: DIY /// Maxi dress: JC Penney ///clutch and earrings: Thrifted /// gold loafers: Target

Some say clutches are not practical for everyday.
I can agree with that.

Holding a clutch takes up a free hand to......
chase an energetic child
or lug around bags of groceries
or (my personal favorite) text any and everybody on your phone.

Whether practical or not, you can't deny that clutches have a very chic look to them.
They instantly add a hint of glam to a casual outfit.

I love my clutches!
but i also love texting and chasing my child around so i had to start purchasing a certain kind of clutch.
this one little secret keeps me going and going and going and.....ok you get it :-)

Bammm! the strap inside. Ok if you thrift as often as i do, you know this is not a secret.
Alot of vintage clutches have straps attached to them.
my secret solution is to
just hide the strap while walking,
then pull out the strap
and make your own little crossbody to get handsfree.

Then text somebody our new little secret.

Just another little fashion tip brought to you by Avid Accents
:-)
Here's a DIY on how to make a strap on your clutch if needed.

*******************The Shocker*******************

Those who tweet with me know i posted that this post would shock some people. No, i didn't think my little clutch secret would shock people, i actually planned another post. A post to end this blog. I had the post written and everything but couldn't press publish because i believe in this blog. And i know others do as well.  I know I bring something different to fashion blogging and will continue to do so. Sadly, i was going to let a case of blog politics stop me from continuing to create on my blog. I just can't do that to those that take away great advice and entertainment from this blog.

So, not only will i keep going and going because of my clutch/crossbody. Your support also keeps me going and going like the energizer bunny.
Plenty of New, Creative posts coming soon to Avid Accents Style Guide.
including Friday's post which i loooove!

Thank you so much for reading!

P.S. Don't forget to Challenge your Style with AA

Misfits Vintage emailed me a great question.
"Can we link up old posts where we styled a dress as a skirt."

Absolutely!
I didn't invent the thought of styling a skirt as a dress so i know people have tried this before. This challenge is about forming a community of people that are there to inspire others to have fun with what's in thier closet.
